Inspired a little by the American Idols and other singing/talent competition winners, I was thinking about how quickly these winners fade back into obscurity after their moment in the spotlight. Feels like a hard thing to navigate feeling all that instant popularity and by no fault of their own, it goes as fast as it came. It’s as much a cynical look at the flash in the pans and one-hit wonders that are created by record labels always in search for the next big thing.
